ABOUT GERALD T. ROGERS PRODUCTIONS
After producing commercials in New York and Chicago advertising agencies, Gerry Rogers started his film production company in 1968. In 1974 he began producing and directing longer-form films and videos for the Chemical Dependency Treatment Community. Since then his company has created dozens of programs that are viewed in schools and treatment centers across the country. Typically the productions, described by Rogers as “educational drama,” successfully engage the viewer while offering helpful insights. Each vignette employs actors roll-playing with dialogue to help audiences identify with the on-screen characters to learn about, confront and manage addition. Concurrently his company wrote and produced over thirty business videos, particularly for the Darnell Company of Chicago.
During the period of this professional activity, Rogers also produced a great number of “pro bono” videos for friends and non-profit groups: The Salvation Army, National Council on Alcoholism & Other Drugs (with Meryl Streep), National Association of Children of Alcoholics, Kenilworth Union church, and many others.
While some of the videos have been around awhile, until better materials are produced, they continue to serve the addiction treatment community. You are invited to preview any of our titles, without obligation, to seek reactions from patients to help support your treatment program needs.
